The famous mysterious artist, Banksy, pulled another stunt at an art auction this past weekend. After his art canvas, “Girl with Balloon” sold for 1.4 million dollars, the piece shredded itself while still hanging on the wall. It was discovered that a paper shredder was built into the frame before the canvas went on sale! Banksy has often been known for pulling pranks across the world with his art installations. He lives for the creative drive behind his artwork, rather than the money – as he rarely sells his own pieces, and as his artwork has been stolen and sold for millions which he’s never laid claim to. On his latest Instagram post concerning the shredding, he had the whole event recorded on video, with a caption quoting Picasso “The urge to destroy is also a creative urge”. This leaves people questioning what his next stunt will be?
